In the cellar of Terre d’Aione, respecting the winemaking tradition of Irpinia, we combine experience in the art of viticulture with the use of the most modern technologies and the most advanced techniques in the field of oenology to bring on the market wines of high organoleptic quality and deep territorial identity.
The barrique cellar is the place where space is given to slowness: it welcomes wines that need time to pass in order to express themselves fully. A careful selection of woods allows this process to be ennobled, until it reaches the perfect point of equilibrium. A maturation that becomes an expression of the Terroir and the vine.
Sustainability means being the guardians of your territory by practising a viticulture that has the lowest environmental impact.
The care of the land is inspired by the ancient family teachings: weed killers are banned, the cultivation is carried out with the digging over immediately after the harvest and in any case before spring-time.
As the summer period approaches, milling is carried out to protect the vine roots from the sun. Pruning and harvesting of the grapes are carried out entirely by hand.
Fertilization is exclusively organic, as demonstrated by the fact that between the rows broad beans are sown, rich in nitrogen, which with the milling become humus for the soil.
